Kelsey Bell is an American circus artist currently based in London, U.K.

 

Kelsey dabbles across disciplines, but above all things, she is a mover and a shaker. Aerial silks, rope, and physical theatre are her forte. She has taught and performed flying trapeze, static trapeze, and partner acrobatics alongside her specializations. 

 

Training has taken many forms for Kelsey: she received a BA in Theatre Arts from Portland State University, and in Portland (Oregon, USA) she trained in various aerial studios including A-WOL Dance Collective where she was accepted into their pre-professional training company, Flyco. With A-WOL she performed in two original, full-length productions and at multiple corporate functions for companies including Adidas and for the Craft Brewers Convention at the Memorial Coliseum.

 

Later, Kelsey received a 2 Year Diploma from Circomedia (Bristol, U.K.) in Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre. She continued working with Circomedia upon completion as an instructor for their public circus program.

 

Some of Kelsey's recent performances and productions have been with Gorilla Circus at Out There Festival 2021 & the Eisteddfod 2022, Velocity Circus in San Francisco 2019, Citrus Arts at Green Man Festival 2017, with Bassline Circus at Boomtown 2018, and most frequently with Above and Beyond Aerial Company, including the circus big top at Glastonbury Festival 2017. 

 

You can find Kelsey teaching aerial at various studios around London and teaching seasonal flying trapeze at Gorilla Circus in London. She has previously taught or given workshops at Extreme Circus in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, Trapeze Arts in Oakland, California, Fort Collins Circus Center in Colorado, & the Edinburgh Aerial & Acro Convention in Scotland.

Kelsey hopes to connect to people through fun and relatable material.  She strives to captivate and inspire audiences in the same way she has been on her roller coaster ride through contemporary circus. She is devoted to sharing this art form with others through performance and coaching.​
